Israel Study Abroad Program (ISAP)
A Year of Inspiration and Growth.
A Jump Start on Your College Degree.
Going to Israel for a year of study after high school?
Earn regionally-accredited college credit for your Limudei Kodesh seminary courses as part of the Israel Study Abroad Program (ISAP). Most seminary programs in Israel are not accredited. Therefore, if you do not enroll in a program, like ISAP, to secure your Israel credits, you will lose those credits.
The Israel Study Abroad Program offers 30 credits towards the Bachelor of Arts degree, in conjunction with our partner, Gratz College. Getting college credit for your studies in Eretz Yisroel will double the benefit of your year abroad. In addition to a year of inspiration and growth, you will get a substantial head start towards your BA.
This program is only for those students committed to continuing their studies at WITS/Maalot.
Requirements for participation in ISAP:
- Acceptance to WITS/Maalot’s seminary program.
- Acceptance to a seminary program in Israel that offers college-level coursework
- Commitment to attend WITS/Maalot after the year of study abroad in Israel
Begin the ISAP application process by applying to WITS/Maalot. As part of the application process, you will be interviewed by the Menaheles. Upon acceptance to the WITS/Maalot Seminary program (for the year following the year in Israel) and payment of the non-refundable WITS/Maalot deposit and Gratz College fees, you will be enrolled in ISAP.
After the successful completion of the year of study in Israel, courses and grades earned in conjunction with ISAP will be recorded as official Gratz courses with grades and a GPA. Up to 30 credits may be earned.
